The religious tourism is one of the major industries in Israel as the country is filled with exotic beaches, archeological structures and historical sites related to the birth of Christianity and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1. Latrun – Latrun is a hilltop battlefield that has been turned in to a museum. The place was once used as a sneak and attack site by the Maccabees against the Greeks. It is now used for conducting army functions.
2. Dead Sea – The Dead Sea is like magic and does wonders for your body. Your body floats in the sea due to the high content of salt. When you float, you will see a pool of oil around you, which has actually cleansed from your body. The mud from the Dead Sea is used in several beauty products and is known to work wonders for the skin.
3. Jerusalem – There are plenty of places to visit in Jerusalem. It is recommended not to miss any of the sites here. A visit to the Mahane Yehuda market and the Biblical Zoo is highly recommended.
4. Nahriya – The city of Nahriya was once destroyed by rockets during the second Lebanese War. The best part of the city is the beaches which are clean and are pleasant places to relax.
5. The Sea of Galilee – In the Holy Bible, there is an account that this is the place where Jesus Christ had walked on water, and hence tourists from across the world flock this place to have a look at the sea.
